Dont Post About This Movement

Instagram, TikTok & Co. steal our lifetime. We're taking it back! We throw picnics, hikes and parties and hatch plans to win back our attention.

4 Hard Truths

★ 4 theses on social mediaLast changed: never
  1. § 01

German teenagers spend an average of 7 hours a day in front of a screen. That's 106 days a year, or: Like spending more than three months straight in front of a screen — no breaks, no sleep. Every single year.

  2. § 02

Your screen time isn't your fault. At Google, TikTok & Co., thousands of people work on exploiting your weak spots, getting you hooked and stealing your lifetime. That's how they make their money.

  3. § 03

The algorithms poison our debates and break our democracy. If we don't act now, we lose the very ground for any democratic change.

  4. § 04

The tech bros of Silicon Valley chase their goals almost undisturbed. Governments keep failing to really take them on. That's why we have to get active ourselves!

This can'tGo onLike this

We're done taking part in life only through a screen. That's why we founded a real social network with Don't Post About This – where anyone who wants to can organise offline events to bring people together in real life.

★ We're running an experiment

Because you can't win a rigged game by trying harder — only by refusing to play and changing the rules — we use no social media for this project.

» Open to everyone

Just drop by

Our meetups are open to anyone who's curious, wants to meet new people, or wants to figure out with us how to take on Big Tech.

Follow us on Insta! Nope.

We want to take on the challenge: can you still go viral these days without relying on algorithms? Just because we're having a good time and word gets around? So if you want to know what our events are like: you had to be there!

Become part of the offline movement & take back your attention!

Everyone is warmly welcome at our events, but there are a few “ground rules”:

Rule 1 · Dont Post

Dont Post About This

We don't post anything about our events and actions on social media. But you're very welcome to spread the word through every other channel: messengers (Signal, Telegram, WhatsApp etc.), mail, print, phone calls, letters — whatever else comes to mind!

Rule 2 · No Phones

Phone-Free Zone

During our events we don't use smartphones. At most actions you can hand your phone to an orga person and it'll be kept safe for you. Or just leave it at home and take on the challenge of finding your way without it? 😎

Rule 3 · Respect

Safe Space for everyone

We meet each other with respect for different experiences, backgrounds, opinions and needs. Discrimination and transgressive behaviour have no place here.

Enough scrolling.See you outside.
